Start up X-Win32 and run the 'X-Config' utility (right-click on the 'X' icon in the system tray)
Under 'Security'... make sure the Access Control and Use XAuth boxes are checked.
Next... click the Add button, type 127.0.0.1 in the 'Add X Host' dialog that follows, and click the 'OK' button.
And you should now see...
(Make sure you click the Apply button for the changes to take effect)
Recent versions of PuTTY have added Auth and Tunnels options to the SSH configuration... so if you don't see these choices on your copy of PuTTY, you'll want to go to http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ and grab a newer version.
Under the SSH branch... select Auth and check Allow agent forwarding under 'Authentication parameters'
Also below the SSH branch... select Tunnels and check Enable X11 forwarding and make sure that the 'X display location' reads localhost:0
Select Session in the Category pane, type cache.ucr.edu in the Host Name box, and select SSH in the Protocol choices.
Also... type cache.ucr.edu in the box below Saved Sessions, and click on the Save button. (This should add cache.ucr.edu as an entry below Default Settings)
Finally... you can initiate a connection to cache.ucr.edu by clicking on the entry that was just added in the Saved Sessions.
Once you are logged in... you simply need to type seqlab & at the prompt... and the graphical GCG/Seqlab display should show on your desktop momentarily.
